Whether it is you and the mountain or you and the river, sometimes all that stands between your body and what most people in this world are afraid of is what you have on your back. That’s why we created Beyond. Sixteen years ago, there was an epiphany while climbing and skiing in the Cascade Mountains. At the time, outdoor gear could be customized to individual specifications, but the only outdoor clothing to be found was mass produced. What we needed was something tailored to our own body, made to be used under the specific conditions we were facing: basically, customized apparel that allowed us to move further, faster, and with ease. We set out to create the perfect fleece jacket, a jacket that would suit our individual needs, as informed by years of experience.

A few years later, Beyond was born.
